We assisted our client with engineering design and detailing for replacement bollards, following a significant port incident in WA.
Cracked bolts and corroded bollards can compromise vessel mooring capacity, increase failure risks and disrupt operations.
This project built on our previous bollard assessments, combining documentation review with targeted design verification. We developed replacement hold‑down bolt details for the existing Teddy Bear bollards and prepared the structural design for their full replacement with modern bollards and updated connection details.
Focused engineering like this improves asset safety, manages operational risks and ensures mooring infrastructure remains fit for purpose.
